Well this site was down for a few days and I did not receive any notification from the web host, but all seems to be up and running now.
I was blown away by the number of comments on the blog when I logged in, it is always great to read peoples comments and expressing their views. It makes me very happy to see there are other people interested in World Peace.
There are two things that I would like to get up and running on this site soon.
The first is to define the mission of the site. Let me just say, it will not have any involvement with either religion or politics. It will not focus on all the negative aspects happening in the world, the war and the violence, there is enough of that on the nightly news. The site mission will focus on positive things like peace, love, nature and unity.
The second thing is to formulate a way to involve others and work together for world peace. But in order to go down this path, I think it is important to first formulate what this site stands for and its mission. If you would like to find out details on how you can participate in the future, please sign up for our newsletter. I am so thankful for the emails I have received with offers to help and participate.
Below is a video composed by Tom Van Dorn who emailed me. It is titled “If you Believe”
I would like to wish everyone a Happy 2012, may it be filled with peace. I think it has already begun with a good start, with the war in Iraq coming to an end, and also a commitment that the war in Afghanistan would come to a close.
On a personal note, I am more committed to World Peace than ever, what spare time I have, I am using to write a book on the subject which has been a goal of mine for many years. Hopefully 2012 will be the year that sees me completing it. I should mention, that like this website, it is purely non profit.
I also look forward to receiving more emails, I try and respond to most of them.
The following video link was sent to me via email from Yaniv. It details his viewpoint on how to achieve World Peace. I should point out, that I do not agree entirely with this viewpoint, I am not really in favour of a world government, I am more in favour of improvements to the United Nations. I personally would rather see people pressure their current leaders to commit to not engaging in war that is not sanctioned by a majority vote of the United Nations. Had that happened, the war in Iraq that just ended, would have never started.
The video is definitely worth taking a look for those who have an interest in World Peace, it is well produced.
In response to my comments, Yaniv asked me to post the following
this video does not call for a world government in the simple meaning, it just suggest a world parliament created from the highest quality of people that will be a supervising only over international affairs, it won’t have the right to touch with any of nations internal laws, economy, etc, except if its in cases of protecting human rights from its own oppressed government or in some cases of global environment concern.
President Barack Obama was recently in Australia announcing the permanent deployment of some troops at the top end of Australia. (I am in Australia).
Listening to him answering questions, all I could think to myself was that he is one exceptionally intelligent president, a far cry from his predecessor. I really like Barack Obama, yes I know the people in America are hurting economy wise at the moment. And he may not be very popular. But I really like the man, especially when listening to him being questioned about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He mentioned that he would be pulling all of the troops out of Iraq by the end of the year. He mentioned how he was against the Iraq war all along.
More details can be found here. This is a war that has dragged on for 9 years. A war that has resulted in many deaths. A war which was based on lies. And a war which was not easy for a president to end, especially when there are infrastructure companies and oil companies who stand to profit from America staying there, and no doubt they would have been lobbying for America to stay there. So I think he deserves credit for that.
In addition, he said he was committed to withdrawing the American troops from Afghanistan. He said they could not withdraw straight away, but they would withdraw, acknowledging that they would be leaving a less than ideal situation.
I believe these two things will ease the deficit that America is running up, and could help the economy in the long run. It is also worthy to note that President Obama has not started any new wars so far during his presidency. If he loses, I think it will be due to unemployment levels in America. I do think his performance on the issue of World Peace has been good so far.
This video shows all of the things that could be done with the money spent from just one day of the war in Iraq, estimated to be about $720 million. I do not know how accurate those figures are, and how current they are, but there can be no denying that an insane amount of money is being spent in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
The thing is, people are getting rich of these wars. There are corporations that stand to profit from war and no doubt beat the drums of war. And these corporations make political donations. You can draw the rest from there. All I can say. when I see the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, where once I thought there was apathy, I see people who understand what is really happening, and how we need to take back our future from these corporations. I see hope!

I grew up using Apple IIe computers, I currently use an iphone and Macbook Pro, and have always had a keen interest in Technology. There is no doubt that Steve Jobs was a visionary in the tech space. I think to a large extent, he was a rather private person, but I am sure he had a very spiritual side to him, he had spent some time during his earlier years in an ashram in India.
Below is an amazing quote from Steve Jobs which was the basis for an Apple commercial, which I like very much.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
I have seen a number of his speeches and interviews over the years, and there is no doubt that the man was an intellectual giant. He was adopted out shortly after birth, yet not only did he go on to build Apple Computers, after being kicked out, he later returned at a time when Apple was experiencing a lot of trouble and went on to turn it into the biggest company in the world.
Another great speech of his, which does talk of our mortality, was his Stanford address. In particular, I like the bit where he says
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
Please take a moment to listen to this song “Pass the Word…Pass It On” a song which was inspired by passing the word for peace.
Lianah Sta Ana is the name of the young girl singing the song, she is only 12 years old, but has an amazing voice and is very talented,
She travelled from America to the philippines to record this song. The other two people involved with the song are Roger Pullin and Sammy Asuncion who composed the song together.
Sammy Asuncion is the guitarist in the video, he really is an awesome guitarist.

Well there seems to be general consensus among scientists that there is global warming.
Yet there is still debate within the general community over whether global warming is happening or not, and even among those who will concede that the globe is warming, some will argue that it cannot possibly be induced by humans. That we are too insignificant to have an impact on the planet. This to me is a ridiculous argument, there are many parts of the world where you can see the physical impact that pollution has on the atmosphere. And furthermore, I have seen a documentary where astronauts have talked of the lit up planet at night, the lights being city man made lighting.
This page has some incredible photos which show that.
I have always felt that whether you believe it or not, I would rather be on the cautious side and make changes towards a greater use of renewable energy sources. and be wrong, than sit back and do nothing and risk inflicting catastrophic damage on the earth’s atmosphere which may very well be reversible. There may be other planets in the universe which may be inhabitable, we have yet to discover them, nor do we have the means of getting there, so we really need to take care of this wonderful planet.
This youtube video explains things in a very thought provoking way.
Thanks to an email from Sophia, a visitor the site, I was recommended to take a look at this video on youtube called “The Story of Stuff”
It is about 21 minutes long and well worth taking a look. Kind of appropriate that they should use the example of an ipod at the start, Apple releases new products every single year, and quite often Apple die hard fans will find themselves upgrading to the latest product. I consider myself such a fan, I love Apple products as well, but I will be thinking about upgrading to the latest tech product, What I have now, does the job fine, so I will be keeping it. Same applies for other goods like cars, clothes, etc
I especially liked the end of the video where she says “Things are really going to start moving when we see the connections, when we see the big picture, when people along the system get united, we can reclaim and transform this linear system into something new……Some say it is unrealistic, idealistic, that it can’t happen, but I say the ones that are unrealistic are the ones that want to continue with the old path”
